I encourage you to try the world’s finest coffee, Jamaica’s Blue Mountain Coffee, while you are there; you can see how I used it in Bread Pudding.

taste of chicago

Whilst I have yet to visit Chicago I have heard nothing but great things about their restaurant scene so it is no surprise that their annual food festival has become the largest outdoor food festival in the world. Apparently this event gives you the opportunity to sample Chi-town specialities but also a taste of international dishes all at one destination.

July 10-14, 2013 Chicago, IL, Grant Park 11am -9 pm

Now to be honest I don’t think you need to look for a reason to visit Vegas because it is an amazing city for eating, drinking, gambling, clubbing and just having a good time. If you think it’s all about gambling (like I once did) then you’re wrong trust me, there is something for every adult. Just in case you need an extra push to visit vegas Vegas Uncork’d may just be that reason. This food event consists of glamourous dinners, opportunities to see the chefs you admire and see what this city has to offer. Check out what I thought of Vegas in my post.

Starts: May 9th, 2013

Ends: May 12th, 2013

uk rumfestThis is the world’s largest rum festival, when I went I fell in love with their bartending competition because it was interactive and fun watching a guy make “legalise it”, a drink with some you know what, that he served to judges in a red green and yellow gong. Pace yourselves ladies and gentlemen because there is a lot of rum to go around. For some inspiration on what to do with you rum at home see my Rum Punch.

Where: The ExCel London, 1 Western Gateway, Royal Victoria Dock, London, E16 1XL
